A Natural Feeling of Peace
As dog owners, we have all experienced the invaluable feelings of joy, love,
security, ease, and internal peace which dogs provide us without even trying,
a natural sense of relief. What better way to give back to such precious souls
than to make them feel safe, secure, loved, and most importantly cuddled.
My Story
When I first saw a photo of Doobie it was love at first sight. Now, for over 6 years I have been his devoted Mama. He is always seeking a sense of comfort, emotional security, and ease. I wanted him to have access to this feeling at all times, even when we are away from one another for a few hours or when he is in an environment that could make him otherwise anxious.
This led to my passion to create a durable scarf to prolong and sustain this extra level of love and fuzziness for all dogs, no matter how many times it is worn. The problem with other scarves I found in the marketplace was they tend to stretch out and eventually the comfort sensation disappeared.
I discovered the amazing properties of earth-friendly hemp, which is antibacterial, antimicrobial, and hypoallergenic. After experimenting with construction methods, I found out that a mix of 55% hemp and 45% cotton would allow for the longest lasting scarf. Hemp fibres prevent fabrics from weakening when washed and become softer over time. Magically hemp is warmer in the winter and cooling in the summer. It also protects your dog against UV light and is moisture resistant and breathable, which prevent odor. Tlabambaa scarves are machine washable and can go in the dryer, so you will always have a fresh scarf for your dog.
